Lionel Messi passport: Policeman faces jail after Snapchat.
A policeman faces jail after posting a video on Snapchat involving Lionel Messi's personal documents.
As reported by Goal.com, the airport officer in Dubai posted the video after the Argentine superstar rejected his request for a photograph.
The incident, which took place back in December as Messi attended the Globe Soccer Awards, could now see the policeman jailed for six months and receive a fine of €124,000.
The policeman, then, stated 24 words during the Snapchat, asking whether he should burn the Barcelona star's passport.
On Snapchat, the officer stated: "This is Messi here in Dubai … what shall I do now? Burn his passport or let it go! Alas … I will let it go."
POLICEMAN REACTS
Unsurprisingly, following the incident, the policeman has since had his say, and he has admitted that he did take video images of Messi's passport on Snapchat.
He is quoted by Gulf News as saying: “I waited for Messi’s arrival to take a photo with him, but his private escorts informed me that the player was tired and would not be able to take a photo.
"Thereafter I walked to the passport control’s office where I saw Messi’s passport on a desk. I grabbed the passport and opened it to the page that contained Messi’s personal details and took video images with my iPhone via Snapchat."
