Idris Elba : Buckingham Palace honours actor with OBE for services to drama.
Idris Elba has been honored by Buckingham Palace with the Order of the British Empire (OBE) title, in a ceremony conducted by Prince William himself.
The "Beats of no Nation" actor has been
honoured with the OBE title for his services to drama with the title
of Order of the British Empire today, Friday, March 11, 2016 in a
ceremony held at Buckingham Palace in London.
The 43-yr-old actor
had earlier tweeted a photo of himself looking dapper in a suit as he
prepared to head for the ceremony in a Rolls-Royce.

Indie rocker, Damon Albarn had received an OBE for services to music, as had Manchester United great Denis Law who had been granted a CBE for services to football and charity.
The actor is definitely on a role this year as he has bagged the Screen Actors Guild Award for his Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for "Beast of no Nation".
The "Luther" actor has also been nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in the movie, while winning a Critics Choice TV Award.
He was also nominated for a Golden Globe and a BAFTA.
