Many reported dead In Rivers as PDP, APC members clash.


There is an ongoing clash in Rivers State between members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the those of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Vanguard reports.
According to the newspaper, residents have deserted Buguma town in Asari-Toru Local Government Area of the state where the violence broke out, as many are feared dead.
The ruling party in the state, the PDP, and the opposition, APC have been known to be  rivals following the emergence of Nyesom Wike as the incumbent Governor.
Wike defeated the governorship candidate of the APC, Dakuku Peterside, in the 2015 gubernatorial election in the state - the victory which was recently upheld by the Supreme Court.
A source at Buguma, who spoke to Vanguard from hiding, said a middle aged man was set ablaze, adding that many are dead while some baldy injured.
