Football Federation Crisis - Giwa Dissolves Pinnick's Committees.
The Chris Giwa-led
board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) rose from its emergency
meeting in Abuja on Saturday to announce the appointment of new
management staff, acting chairmen of committees and secretaries.
This action
followed the re-listing of the suit challenging the election process of
September 30, 2014 in Warri that brought the Amaju Pinnick-led board to
power.
The Giwa-led board equally announced the dissolution of all standing committees appointed by the Pinnick-led board.
Also, all contract
staff apart from Director of Marketing, Mr. Idris Adama, are to proceed
on one-month compulsory leave with effect from Monday April 11, 2016.
In a statement
signed by Chief Effiong Johnson the Chairman of Chairmen, Mr. Bola
Oyeyode is now the acting General Secretary, Mr. Lawrence Katken heads
the competition department in acting capacity, Mr. Barnabas Joro will be
acting head of protocol while Dr. Robinson Okosun has been appointed
the acting head of media & communications.
Also, Mr. Ayo
Rahman is now the acting executive secretary of national league, Mr.
Shola Ogunnowo will be the acting secretary nationwide league and Mr.
Danlami Alanana was appointed acting secretary women league.
