Child Abuse,Man Sentenced to 10 Years For Raping 16 Year Old.
A twenty one-year old man, Chibueze Okpani of Osu Eda in Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has been sentenced to ten years imprisonment for raping 16-year-old-girl.
An Abakaliki Magistrate court during at the weekend handed down the sentence.
Okpani was said to have abducted the girl on her way to buy mobile telephone recharge cards for the mother on the 8th of February.
He took the girl to his friend’s house at Ndioplo where he defiled her.
Medical examination conducted on the girl showed that she had vaginal orifices with copious discharge.
Okpani had earlier claimed that the victim was his friend.
Trial Magistrate, Stella Ogoke found Okpani guilty and sentenced him to 10 years in prison.
