Suspected Kidnapper Set Ablaze In Kaduna.

It was not  business as usual when a suspected kidnapper met his waterloo yesterday in Kaduna, as luck ran out on him when angry youths gave him baptism of fire and burnt him to ashes.
The kidnapper was caught with a four-year-old boy in a sack.
The incident occurred in Barnawa, Kaduna South local government area of Kaduna State at about 10am .

An eyewitnesses, who spoke to our correspondent on the scene of the incident on condition of anonymity, said the suspect had successfully concealed the boy, Haruna Almustapha, in a sack kept in his tricycle (keke NAPEP).
According to him, it was a profuse cry from a sack inside the tricycle that attracted the attention of people in the area.
And when he was questioned, he could not give satisfactory answer for his action.
He said, they decided to take the laws into their hands by setting him ablaze to serve as detterent to others with similar intention.
It would be recalled that two men at Ungwan Sunday, Television garage in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State, were on Tuesday arrested over the same offence even though timely intervention of security men saved them from being lynched.
When newsmen visited the home of the boy at Barnawa, in Kaduna South local government area of the state,  which is a stone-throw from LEA primary school where the boy was kidnapped, the parents of the boy were yet to recover from the shock of what would have befelled them should the kidnapper had succeeded.
Mother of the child, Hanatu Almustapha, said she never suspected that anything of such had happened to her child until sympathisers thronged into their house and were congratulating her.
“My son left for school this morning. I never know that someone is planning to throw us into mourning. I would have waited for him to come back home after the closing hour. But thank God, my son has been saved by good samaritans from the hand of the kidnapper who would possibly taken him away for rituals.
However, the 38-year-old father of Haruna, Malam Daudu Almustapha, said he couldn’t believe his eyes and ears when people rush to his house to inform him of how his son was almost kidnapped not for God intervention through the use of vigilant people who heared his cry in a sack.
Another eyewitness who is simply identified himself as Babade, faulted the State government for not being able to so far take proactive measures to address the menace of kidnapping in the State.
According to him, “the State government would have provided it’s own school with adequate security before embarking on free school feeding programme, there is no proper fence.”
When contacted, Police Public Relations Officer in the State, DSP Zubairu Abubakar said he was yet to get details of the incident at time of filling the report.
It would be recalled however that Kaduna State has been in the news for various kidnapping activities of late, just as several arrest of suspected kidnappers have been made in and around the state and are to be prosecuted accordingly.
